Director of Nursing
Cyndy is an accomplished healthcare professional with a deep commitment to serving others. With a career spanning over two decades, she began her journey in healthcare in 2001, initially working in a hospital laboratory where she gained experience in performing lab tests, performed histology duties, venipunctures, and other critical tasks. This early exposure to the medical field ignited a desire to make a difference in the lives of patients, leading her to a career in nursing. Joining Wayland in 2010, she has served across multiple roles over the years. Cyndy initially served as an MDS nurse and weekend supervisor; in March of 2022, she took on the role of Assistant Director of Nursing, where she further demonstrated her leadership skills and dedication to the organization’s success. Recognizing her exceptional abilities, Cyndy was promoted to the position of Director of Nursing (DON) in December 2022, assuming responsibility for overseeing the nursing department and driving excellence in patient care. She brings compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to her work, fostering an environment of trust, dignity, and respect— leading by example, and inspiring those around her.
